Your pin number is the last four digits of the phone number provided to us when you signed up for your library card or last updated your information.
Go to “My Account” in the library catalog and look for the “User PIN Change” link. You can also stop by a service desk and ask to change your PIN.

You can receive notices via text message when you sign up at the main service desk. Just ask for a text notification form. Regular text messaging charges may apply.
Sign in to your account in the online catalog and click “Renew My Items.” You can also call the library or stop by to renew items. Items can be renewed twice unless there is another person waiting for the item.
Sign in to your account in the online catalog and find the item you need. Click “Place Hold.” You can also call or stop by the library to place an item on hold. A member of the library’s team will contact you when your item is available.
The library welcomes your donations. Please bring materials to the main service desk or children’s library. If you need a receipt for tax purposes, please ask for a donation form. Making a large donation? Call the library and arrange for a donation pick up. Your donations will be added to the library collection or given to Friends of the Library. Friends of the Library has a book sale room and hosts quarterly book sales. Proceeds from these sales directly benefit library projects.

Materials from around the nation can be delivered to you via interlibrary loan. Stop at a service desk at the library and fill out a form to request the material that you need.
If there is an item that is not in our collection that would be used by our community, we want to know. Please fill out a “Materials Request” form, available at any service desk at the library.
Library cards are free to individuals in Henry County. If you have a card from the Knightstown, Middletown, or Spiceland library, you can get a library card from New Castle-Henry County Public Library. Simply present photo identification with your current address to the checkout desk to receive your card. Acceptable forms of photo identification are drivers license, state ID card, passport, military ID, school ID or employment ID that includes name and photo. Acceptable forms of identification for proof of address are a driver's license, utility bill, personalized checks, voter registration, or proof of property ownership in Henry County. Students who attend school in Henry County, but live outside of Henry County are eligible for a library card. Library cards are available to those of any age, although parents must co-sign for children under age 18. Library cards may be used for sign-in to library computers, place holds, and check out books and materials. You will be held responsible for any item checked out with your library card.
