Looking for something to do this winter? Join the New Castle-Henry County Public Library’s “Chill Out and Read - Winter Reading Club! The Winter Reading Club will run from now through February 14, 2014, providing fun and prizes for people of all ages. Explore your library to see what we have to offer!

The Winter Reading Club is open to all students from ages 4 through grade 6 (or homeschool equivalent). Register in person at the Children’s desk. When you sign up, you’ll get a reading goal card. All you do is choose and write your own reading goal and then get reading. That’s it! It could be to read 30 minutes a day or read 4 books total. You choose what your goal should be.

  • When you register, you receive a free book and you’ll also be automatically entered into the grand prize drawing for an iPad Mini!
  • Get a surprise halfway through your reading goal. (Should be reachable by January 10 & pickup for halfway goal prize is 1/10/14-1/17/14.)
  • Audiobooks, ebooks, magazines, comics and books in another language count.
  • Remember to ask a librarian if you need help finding any books to read.
  • Turn in your goal sheet by Valentine’s Day – February 14th. Get a free book for finishing your goal.
  • The winners for the grand prizes will be announced on February 15th.
