Dr. Who & The Daleks Jul 05, 2014

Dr._Who__the_Daleks_-_Invasion_Earth_2150.jpgIn Doctor Who and the Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150 A.D. we find The Doctor, his niece, and granddaughter, taking another journey on the Tardis. They are joined by a bumbling London police officer Tom Campbell, who unknowingly enters the Tardis just as the trio prepares for their latest voyage. Together, they travel to the year 2150 A.D. to find a war-ravaged Earth, governed by, who else, the Daleks! These cyborgs prove to be more deadly than they appear, transforming their prisoners into living dead soldiers called Robomen. Others they enslave to work deep in mines, burrowing down to the Earth’s core to transform our planet into a titanic spaceship!

But beneath a bombed-out London is an underground resistance movement, led by a rebel named Dortmun, who’s not afraid to raise his voice “Obey motorized dust bins? We’ll see about that!” The Doctor and the resistance fighters strike back against the exterminate-happy Daleks in an epic battle for the future of the Earth! Whovians might recognize actor Bernard Cribbins as Officer Campbell. He made a return to the Dr. Who universe four decades later as Wilfred Mott. The great character actor Peter Cushing makes his second and last appearance as The Doctor in this one of only two theatrical Dr. Who movies. This hard-to-find film is one that not just adult Whovians, but beginning Who aficionados, can enjoy. -Staff Review by Josh D.
