Bookmobile Services

The New Castle-Henry County Public Library’s Bookmobile serves residents of Henry County, making around 20 stops all over the area.  The Bookmobile has a large collection of materials for all ages, including a variety of books and DVDs.  Specific items may be requested before a scheduled stop time.

Borrowing Items

The loan period for books checked out on the Bookmobile is 4 weeks (28 days), and for DVDs and magazines, it is 2 weeks (14 days).  Items may be renewed by phone or through the library website.

Library Card

Residents of Henry County may obtain a library card from the Bookmobile at no charge.  Library cards obtained from the main library are also valid on the Bookmobile.  Any person wanting to use the Bookmobile who does not live within an area served by the New Castle-Henry County Public Library must annually purchase a Public Library Access Card (PLAC), which allows its owner to use any library in Indiana.

Schedule Changes

Bookmobile stops may be cancelled because of holidays, weather conditions, or mechanical difficulties.  Weather cancellations or alterations will be aired on WMDH (102.5).  The library’s online calendar, available through the library website, will be updated to reflect any changes.
