Friends of the Library are people like you who enjoy and appreciate New Castle-Henry County Public Library and want to do their part to support the library’s activities. Friends provide financial and volunteer assistance for a variety of projects including summer reading, monthly Noteworthy Performances, and Henry County Reads.
Anyone can join Friends of the Library… it’s easy:
The Friends accept donations of used books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, videotapes, and puzzles. Friends sell these items at quarterly sales and in the Book Sale Room (located on the library’s lower level).
Volunteer in the Book Room, Gift Shop, on the hospitality committee, or working on special projects/fund raising events. Leave your contact information at the main desk or send an e-mail to email@example.com.
Looking for a unique gift? Visit the Friends Gift Shop, located on the library’s upper level across from the main service desk.
Browse a large collection of used books, magazines and more in the Friends Book Room, located on the lower level near the auditorium. The book room is open during the same hours as the library.
Watch for information on quarterly book & craft sales. These sales are held on Saturdays in March, June, September, and November from 9 am to 2 pm. In addition to used books, local vendors sell crafts, baked goods and more.
